On the evening of November 16, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Binh Province solemnly held the Ceremony to receive the Certificate of Special National  Relic Ranking of the archaeological site of Hang Xom Trai (Cave in Trai village in Lac Son district), Mai Da Lang Vanh (Stone roof in Vanh village in Lac Son district) and the Opening of the Culture - Tourism Week of the province in 2024.

Mr. Le Thanh Long, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister. Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded the Certificate of ranking as a special national relic and presented flowers to congratulate Hoa Binh province.

Attending the opening ceremony, Central delegates included Mr. Le Thanh Long, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Phu Ha, Deputy Head of the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Delegation of Hoa Binh province. Mr. Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders and representatives of agencies of central ministries and branches. International guests included Mr. Sandeep Arya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Vietnam. Delegates represented leaders of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Giang, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Ha Giang, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang provinces and Hanoi city.

The 2024 Hoa Binh Provincial Culture and Tourism Week takes place from November 15 to 23, including the following activities: Fishing praying ceremony, releasing flower lanterns on the Da River; Artistic photo exhibition with the theme "The beauty of Hoa Binh Province's culture and tourism"; Ceremony to receive the Certificate of ranking as a special national relic of Hang Xom Trai, Mai Da Lang Vanh and Opening of the Culture and Tourism Week; visiting tourist attractions on Hoa Binh Lake tourist area; Festival to show costumes of ethnic groups in Hoa Binh province; Can wine festival; Agricultural Forum with the theme "Agricultural promotion associated with agricultural tourism, green growth and sustainable development"; The second Da River fish and shrimp festival in 2024; Sports fishing competition on the Da River and organizing fish release to restore aquatic resources on the Hoa Binh hydroelectric lake, etc. 

In the opening speech, Mr. Bui Van Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee introduced “Hoa Binh is located at the gateway to the Northwest region of the country, a land with a long-standing historical and cultural tradition, imbued with the identity of the ethnic groups: Muong, Thai, Tay, Dao, Mong and is the cradle of the famous "Hoa Binh Culture" with more than 100 ranked relics and many unique folk festivals, etc. Those strengths are being focused on by Hoa Binh province to arouse and strongly promote. The provincial Culture and Tourism Week promises to leave good images and impressions for the delegates, people and tourists attending. Through the event, promote and introduce the potential, strengths, beautiful natural landscapes, unique cultural identities of the ethnic groups in Hoa Binh province; typical attractive tourist destinations of the locality; products from Da River fish and shrimp, agricultural products, typical OCOP products of the province to attract domestic and international tourism”.

In his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Le Thanh Long, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, praised and congratulated the results achieved by the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Hoa Binh province in preserving and promoting the values ​​of traditional cultural heritage of ethnic groups, especially relics belonging to the "Hoa Binh Culture" associated with sustainable tourism development, gradually turning Hoa Binh into one of the attractive destinations for domestic and foreign tourists. A clear proof is the decision to rank the archaeological relics of Hang Xom Trai and Mai Da Lang Vanh as special national relics.

To continue to preserve and effectively promote the value of cultural heritage in general, the two special relics above in particular, and promote tourism and socio-economic development, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested: Continue to thoroughly grasp the viewpoint that preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage is the cause of the entire people led by the Party, managed by the State, the People are the main subjects, and the intellectuals and artists play an important role. Effectively organize and implement programs and projects on cultural development and cultural heritage, especially the Strategy for Vietnam's cultural development to 2030. Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management of culture, with special attention paid to preserving and promoting the heritage values ​​of "Hoa Binh Culture", Muong culture as well as the culture of the ethnic groups in Hoa Binh province. Step up propaganda, dissemination, and raise awareness of all levels, sectors and the People about cultural development; closely link culture with sustainable tourism development.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized: The Resolution of the 17th  Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, has identified improving the material and spiritual life of the people, preserving, conserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups as one of the important goals. On that basis, Hoa Binh province has been gradually implementing tasks and solutions to maximize the potential and strengths of culture to develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector; Building Hoa Binh into an attractive destination with typical tourism products, a major tourism center of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region. Developing tourism in a sustainable direction, associated with preserving and promoting the traditional cultural identity of ethnic groups and the "Hoa Binh Culture".

At the opening ceremony, delegates and people enjoyed a special art program with the theme "Muong land in the festival" including three chapters: Chapter I - Echoes of the epic De dat de nuoc, Chapter II - Muong land's symphony, Chapter III - Muong land in the festival. The artists, dancers, all the artisans, extras and modern lighting effects brought attractive, magnificent and proud art performances to close the program of the Ceremony to receive the Certificate of National Special Monument of Hang Xom Trai Archaeological Site, Lang Vanh Stone Roof and Opening of the Culture and Tourism Week of Hoa Binh Province in 2024, leaving a deep impression on the delegates, tourists and people inside and outside the province.
