On December 23, 2022, the Conference to summarize the tourism development cooperation program in the eight expanded Northwest provinces and Ho Chi Minh City in 2022 was held in Lai Chau province. The conference was organized to summarize and evaluate the results of implementing the tourism development cooperation program in eight expanded Northwest provinces and Ho Chi Minh City in 2022; difficulties, advantages and challenges in tourism development and propose solutions to effectively implement the contents of the cooperation group's activities in the eight expanded Northwest provinces and Ho Chi Minh City in 2023.

As a member of the Cooperation Group, in 2022, Hoa Binh province has actively developed plans and coordinated with the member provinces of the Cooperation Group to organize and participate in many activities in the Development Cooperation Program. At the same time, many promotional activities have been carried out, promoting the local tourism image at major events to create the effect of attracting visitors to the area. The total number of visitors to the Northwest region and Ho Chi Minh City in 2022 is estimated at more than 45 million arrivals, more than three times higher than the same time in 2021. Total revenue is more than 153 trillion dong. The above numbers has confirmed the effectiveness and explosive development of tourism of the Linked Group.
