In the first 6 months of 2023, Hoa Binh Tourism is fighting progressing well. State management of tourism has been improved; the number of tourism material and technical facilities has been raised and increased; activities of association, tourism promotion, promotion and attraction for tourism development are promoted; Digital transformation in the field of tourism has received attention, etc. As a result, 2,360,000 visitors have been welcomed, up 28.8% compared to the same period last year, reaching 67.4% of the year plan. In which: 240,000 international arrivals, 336% compared with the same period last year, reaching 53.5% of the year plan; domestic tourists 2,120,000, up 19.3% over the same period last year, reaching 69.5% of the year plan. Total revenue from tourists reached about VND 2,300 billion, up 16.2% over the same period last year, reaching 59% of the year plan. Up to now, the province has 478 assessed accommodation establishments, reaching nearly 5,000 rooms; in which there are three hotels equivalent to 4 stars, 10 hotels of three stars; 26 2-star resorts and hotels, 6 1-star hotels and other types of tourist accommodation establishments; there are 7 domestic travel agencies, branch representative offices operating in the province; There are over 200 trams and over 300 water and land transport vehicles participating in serving guests.

However, Hoa Binh tourism still has some concerns: The tourism infrastructure is limited and not synchronized. Some projects have been granted investment policies with slow implementation. The propaganda, advertising and promotion of tourism has not brought high efficiency. Human resources in the field of tourism are lacking and weak, etc. In order to well implement tourism development in the last 6 months of 2023. The Tourism Steering Committee requires member agencies to focus on directing the industry, There are a number of specific key tasks carried out by the locality as follows: 

Advise the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee to continue implementing Resolutions, Planning, Projects, and Tourism Development Plans of the province. Focus on effectively implementing Plan No. 73/KH-BCD dated April 18, 2023 of the Steering Committee for implementing the Project to develop Hoa Binh Lake tourist area into a national tourist area; Plan No. 90/KH-TCT dated May 26, 2023 of the Working Group to implement Resolution No. 16 NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on implementing the Project "Building highland communes in Tan Lac become a provincial tourist area by 2030, with a vision to 2050” in 2023.

Advise on promulgating and implementing the Plan to implement Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP dated May 18, 2023 of the Government on main tasks and solutions to accelerate recovery and accelerate effective tourism development , sustainability and Directive to strengthen leadership and management, promote tourism development in Hoa Binh province.

Continue to implement tasks under the National Target Program for building new rural areas and the National Target Program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas by 2023. Focus on surveying and researching to develop tourism products in the direction of increasing competitiveness, enhancing professionalism, friendliness, and imbued with Hoa Binh cultural identity. Effectively deploy the province's smart tourism information portal, Hoa Binh Lake tourist area promotion page and websites of departments, branches, etc. Promote development links with 8 Northwest provinces Expanding with Ho Chi Minh City. Organize training courses on tourism product development; on vocational skills, improving professional quality to meet tourism service requirements in the new situation.

 Continue to promote investment, trade and tourism promotion within and outside the province. Focus on directing investment and completing tourism infrastructure projects; Strengthen support for capable investors to implement tourism business projects and build tourism facilities. Promote attracting investors with capacity and experience to invest in the province's tourism sector; interested in solving difficulties in administrative procedures and ground clearance for investors when implementing tourism development projects. Strengthen state management of tourism service business activities; Regularly inspect tourism service activities; public security and order, food hygiene and safety; well perform the work of protecting and restoring and renovating historical and cultural relics, promoting the value of relics in service of tourism.
